Tonsilitus....

My poor little princess has tonsilitus she has really suffered this week but is thankfully on the mend.

We have been busy of late visiting Santa at Winter Wonderland in Tamworth http://www.snowdome.co.uk/santas-winter-wonderland/ which was great fun.  Putting up and decorating our Christmas tree and making our own Christmas cards.  So we are about ready for Santa now.

Georgia is now singing and dancing to nursery rhymes brings me such joy just to watch her doing the actions and singing in her own little way, so proud of you xxxxxx

Georgia is growing up too fast...

Well where do i start.... not posted for a while no excuse sorry.

Georgia now copies everything you say and is stringing sentences together.  She now puts her own top on and own boots and loves the snow.  She tells me when she has had a poo and is trying to count although 1,2,3 -6 doesnt quite work out does it.

Georgia is also getting very confident and doesn't need Mummy all the time which makes me sad sometimes but also smile that she has her own independance.

Georgia had her first visit to the dentist this morning and was so good kept her mouth open to check her teeth, she told me she only has four to come now and the rest will arrive when she is around 5 or 6 yrs old.  So proud of you baby xxxx

We are going to see Santa and his reindeer on Sunday which should be fun at Snowdome http://www.snowdome.co.uk/santas-winter-wonderland/

We are thinking of maybe trying with the ICSI again so you can have a little Brother or Sister Georgia but we will see what the new year brings babe xxx

Georgia sleeps in....

Got too blog about this as it never happens.

Georgia is an early riser normally 6am is good no matter what time she goes to bed and sometimes the later she goes to bed the earlier she rises.  So anyway she was stiring at 5am this morning so I took a bottle of juice into her and got back into bed and the next thing I wake at 7.15am and had to wake Georgia at 7.30am ready to go to nursery or she would have missed breakfast.  I am hoping this isn't a one off and those early mornings are a killer but time will tell and I wouldn't be without my little princess for all the lie in's in the world.

British Summer time ends.... early morning wakers begin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why do we have to put the clocks back an hour?

It messes up Georgia's body clock no end, I didn't put her to bed until over an hour later than her usual bedtime (nearly 9pm) Saturday evening thinking she would wake around the normal time Sunday morning.... Not a chance 3.30am she decided it was time to get up and I can tell you when Georgia decides its time to get up you can't do much else besides that.  We are now on Wednesday and she is just about back to her usual times (thank god), but why can't we just not put them back next year?

Anybody else have the same issues, any advice for next year?

Tickle, tickle, tickle...

Georgia is getting funnier by the day she now says poo after she has done one so a start in the right direction of realising hey.  We bought her a toilet seat and she wants too sit on it everytime she is in the bathroom saying wee wees but no sign of wee yet!!

She is also coming up to you and 'tickle, tickle, tickle' whilst gently tickling your face, back, legs so funny.

Holding crayons/pencils.....

I am proud as punch as when collecting Georgia from nursery this afternoon they commented on how impressed they were with how Georgia is holding the crayons/colouring pencils as she is holding them the same as we do now.  She has taken a great interest in colouring lately so I guess all the scribbling goes along way to learning key skills.

Well done princess we are very proud

Love & kisses

Dermatitis??

Dermatitis what is it?  It is another name for eczema?

My Daughter has just been diagnosed with dermatitis on her torso, the doctor has said it may go or she may suffer with it forever and has prescribed cream and piriton.  I have done some quick searchs on Goggle & BabyCentre websites but can't actually find that much information about it in toddlers.

Anybody else had this?

Hitting???

Why is my little girl hitting other kids?  When she gets frustrated at home she will hit me (which I try to explain its naughty) but with other kids she is playing then all of a sudden she just hits them for no apparent reason.  I always pull her away tell her its naughty to hit and let her stand/sit for a minute but doesn't seem to sink in.  I do hope she gets out of it soon as I don't want her to be a 'bully'....

Zebra.....

Georgia can now say Zebra and very clearly aswell not just a word that Mummy understand but anyone can understand.
She also now sits reading her books she has a musical one and she sits there shaking her arm and saying shake shake for a picture of an elephant with maracas

Clever girl I am so proud of you xxxxx

In the Night Garden

How sad that they aren't going to contiue with ITNG shows its one of the few things that Georgia loves, the shows, books, music and I;m sure she is not alone....

Red prickly rash...

Georgia has a rash on her torso no idea what it is doc says an alergic reaction so trying to eliminate things to get too the route but she is still happy in herself besides the itching.  She is eating no end at the moment and is a proper little girl now.  When we go out now and Mummy picks her handbag up Georgia follows suit and puts hers on her shoulder makes me smile everytime.  She now has a play kitchen too in which she makes things for Mummy and Daddy to eat (and we must pretend too eat or we have a tantrum).  I can really see how she picks things up from watching me in the kitchen she is learning so much now.

Love you baby xxxx

Counting….

Sorry we haven't been around but we have been on holiday to Spain had a lovely time was a little too hot but shouldn't moan about that hey...

Georgia is now starting to count I say one as she climbs the stairs then she says two and then as we get to the top we both shout ten (there are more than 10stairs but I stretch it out slightly). She is also climbing everything in sight now chairs, tables and becoming a right little madam.
Yesterday she had her first real tantrum my god it nearly brought me too tears as I was panicking thinking what is wrong with her she wouldn’t come too me and was kicking her feet screaming at first it really scared me. Afterwards I realized it was a tantrum because she couldn’t get her own way. There is so much to learn about parenting something new every minute….

Roseolo virus??

Well we are coming to the end of a hard week from lack of sleep.

Georgia has been waking in the night since Tuesday when she woke with a temp of 39 she saw the doctor on Wednesday who said it was probably just down to her teeth he checked her throat, ears and chest and all clear.  It has since come to light that she may well be suffering from roseolo virus as her temperature has subsided and she now has a rash.  Georgia is still only picking at food poor little lamb but seems happier now her temp has dropped.  Just shows don't always blame everything on teeth.

She is now very confident with herself and using many words such as duck and quack-quack, chair, bird.

Seems she is going to be a 'dancing queen' she is always wanting the radio on alot and knows the routines to Twinkle Twinkle, Dingle Dangle Scarecrow, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Wind the bobbin, Mulberry bush, pat a cake to name a few.

Also if you have say 4 animals on one page inside a book she now points at each one whilst you count them.

My baby is definitely growing up.....

13 teeth.....

Georgia has just cut another tooth that's two in the last 10days so we now have a total of 13 so we are more than half way there and should expect another 3 according to the chart below in the next month.  I can tell you we will be so glad when we have all the teeth through we have had no end of trouble especially with the molars causing Georgia to have frightening high temps of 41degrees and throat infections

Flying a Kite

Yesterday we went to fly Georgia's first ever kite.  She was amazed and kept waving at Igglepiggle and Upsy Daisy.  Daddy really enjoyed it, seemed to take him back to his childhood.
Can't wait until the weekend to take the kite back out......

Meeting old friends.....

Today we have been to visit a few of our friends in London that we have been chatting too on the net since before Georgia was actually born.  It was such a  lovely day to actually meet people that I speak with most days and Georgia was really good and played nicely and even found a little boyfriend how cute.

It has been a long day with travelling to and from London but I am very proud to say Georgia has been really good.  Love you sweetheart xxx

My first black eye......

Well after a very undisturbed nights sleep Georgia seems a little 'dozy' today and as a result whilst Mummy was drying her hair this morning Georgia was nosing and ended up falling into the bed and caught the corner of her eye on a metal bit and so has a right bruiser forming on her right eye.  Poor little thing.  Not sure why she was so unsettled last night but she ended up in bed with Mummy as at one point was sobbing her little heart out I am guessing its more teeth on the way.  Can't wait until they have all come through.

Days out

Well we have been too Thornton Reservoir this afternoon and walked all the way around it, we didn't realise just how far it was took about and 1.5hrs but it was a lovely day and Georgia enjoyed feeding the ducks there.  The air seemed so clean there even though we were still in Leicestershire.

Would definately recommend it :-)

Nearly 16months....

Well Georgia seems to have gone backwards slightly she was enjoying nursery and then this morning decided to scream again hope this doesn't last and she enjoys it again soon.  Makes Mummy so sad leaving when she is crying.
We went to the park yesterday had a lovely time and even had ice-cream well Mummy had a strawberry spilt but Georgia decided she wanted both the ice-cream and Mummy's lolly here's a pic....

Nursery today.....

Well Georgia has been too nursery this morning, Daddy took her in and she cried I guess because its the first time he has taken her so he came out crying, oh dear poor things they are back together now though.  I told Paddy there will be alot more tears over the years when she breaks your heart.
From September she will be changing her days to Friday's and going for the full day as she has really settled in now and enjoys it and it seems to be building her confidence.

Georgia is becoming increasingly funny doing little things and is chattering away alot more.  Last night after her bath I got her out took her into her bedroom to dry and talc her and she ran off laughing back into the bathroom, she has worked out how to turn the cold bath tap on so was playing with the water again I guess you had to be there but I couldn't stop laughing and neither could she.

Little princess didn't wake until 7am this morning so we were rushing around to get her ready and give her some cereal but we made it in time she did wake at 3am until 4am not sure what that was about but hey you can't have everything

Hand, foot & mouth....

Today I received a call from nursery to say they thought Georgia had 'hand, foot and mouth' I panicked but then was re-assured as it is only a viral infection that causes spots on the hands, feet and mouth and a temperature. I took G straight to the doctors but he said it wasn't 'hand, foot and mouth' and just a rash from her having a cold, thank god.

Georgia has started saying 'gone' and lifting her hands up its so funny she is doing something new most days now which makes me laugh loving every minute xx

I am lost this evening as Georgia is staying with Gran and so the house is very quiet, even though she would be in bed by now it feels strange not having her here. I have to have a laproscopy tomorrow and hope I get to Nuffield and go straight in so I can get home quicker to see my baby.....

Grandad Pat.....

Well thought I had better post about Grandad Pat who was very selfless and decided to make room in the family for our little princess.

Grandad Pat was a very brave, proud man who had a heart transplant in 1988 at Harefield Hospital this was because he had Cardiomyopathy (i hope this link works for anyone wanting to know what that is) he lived for another 18years or so after his transplant. His health deterotiated due to him also having Emphysema for which Harefield said they should have given him a heart and lung transplant but that was 'should of, could have' and wouldn't help him now.

Grandad Pat became wheelchair bound and then housebound bound and didn't have a very good quality of life towards the end with him having to be on oxygen 24hrs a day needless too say he became very withdrawn from life but one thing that he always showed interest in was his youngest son and dauther in law's desperate need for a baby. He always wanted to know when the IVF would be starting. The way it worked out as I was egg sharing our start date kept being postponed because of the numerous tests and other timings and so we didn't start until after Grandad Pat left this world and although we are not big believers in god we so believe that Pat was there all the way helping our 1st try at IVF which turned out to be ICSI become our little princess today so...

Thank you so much Grandad Pat xxxxxxx

Temperature....

Well Princess has another temperature 38.2 although no where near as bad as a few weeks ago when it was hitting 40's she seems ok in herself although struggling a little with her one nap a day so maybe we need to go back too two. I am praying it is just a side effect from her MMR jab and not an illness poor little thing seems to have been really suffering the last few months with throat infections and tonsilitus.

New words we have had over the past few days from our princess

-teeth (when pointing at the toothbrush)
-dirty (when playing with water outside)
-goat
-baby (calls her dolly baby and trys to put a nappy on her, kisses her and cuddles her like I cuddle Georgia. She also puts baby on the potty and today actually sat on it herself whilst I was in the kitchen no wee/poo yet but its a start hey).

So along with Dadda, Mamma, book, gran, nana, boo (not sure if this is meant to be poo or playing pee-po) we seem to be starting a vocabulary. She has been trying to say Neil my brothers name and Granddad when looking at Paddy's Dad photo (that's another post).

Georgia is also intent on trying to dress herself which adds alot of time onto our schedule when she is trying to put her feet into the arms of her top.

MMR jab....

Well its just over a week after Georgia's MMR jab and today she has a rash which is 'too be expected' so they say she seems happy enough in herself even though she also has a runny nose. She has had a swollen face too which I am not sure whether that is down too a touch of the mumps from the jab or not but that seems to have gone down.

Georgia didn't wake until 7.20am this morning (well 6am then went back too sleep) which is like a mega lie in for Mummy and Daddy as she has always been an early waker 5am onwards so I really hope we have turned a corner with that

15months old....

Well how on earth did that happen, I never thought I would be a Mummy after trying for nearly 6years and here I am with a little sweetheart that is 15mths old. I know people say it all the time but 'I really don't know where the time is going' . She is walking around, into everything, very nosey to the extent that she is happy too sit on the bench with you at the park and 'people watch' rather than go on the swings. She obviously gets this from Mummy.

Georgia has just started eating vegetables again (hasn't eaten veg since she was about 8months old) with mint sauce on granted but hey if thats the way she eats it then mint sauce it is. Everybody tells you they need their five a day, have you ever tried getting a toddler to eat something they don't want too?

After 3months of nursery Georgia is now confident to go off and play and not scream that Mummy is leaving her and she has recently moved upto the next room (where did my baby go)

Well this is a small snippet of my little princess I will be back with more information

Thanks for reading

Hello

Well a friend of mine has been doing her own blog and I thought what a good idea of keeping track of life with my little princess so she has some memories.......
